This instrument is approximately the same size and weight as the Star but the exciting new design has been created to practically eliminate the shearing chords, subject to normal non-abused use. The notes are tuned to A440 but the sound is less sustained giving a shorter ring.

Mayfield Bell Lyres and Marching Bells

All Mayfield Instruments are electronically tuned to A-440, unless otherwise requested. All are supplied with a spare cord kit (for note suspension) The instruments are made of selected beech wood and polished aluminium, with steel back plates. Tassels are not included with the bell lyres and weights stated are approx.
